Recommended Tapping Speeds depending on Materials

● The X series, a next generation high dimensional quality, high rigidity tap to make full use of high performance CNC machining

centers and the newer high precision tooling is now available.

● From the YAMAWA analysis of the machining concept for thread cutting taps that conform to conventional pilot holes and the

review of the shape of the taps we have created the optimum flute design. This was formatted from the fundamental viewpoint of

“cutting screw threads”. The current taps available should have been able to accomplish this function but could not.

● By further improving shank precision and shank circularity for the entire tap, it became possible to create a highly accurate screw

thread for high speed machining areas.

■ LS-F-SL, long shank spiral fluted tap, through hole use (with LH spiral flutes) is applicable for such high speed tapping as 15m/min to 25m/min. Under low tapping speed, chip shape and chip ejection may become poor and cause tapping troubles.
■ LS-F-SL เป็นต๊าปร่องเลื้อยก้านยาว ประเภทงานรูทะลุ (ร่องเลื้อยซ้าย) ใช้กับงานที่มีรอบความเร็ว 15 – 25เมตร/นาที หากใช้งานกับรอบความเร็วต่ำ อาจเกิดปัญหาในการคายเศษได้

■ Applying the blanks of high toughness and high accuracy, AUXSL, spiral fluted tap, coated, for through hole use (with LH spiral flutes), derives the maximum performance from high facility machining centers and high precision toolings. Optimum coating for the tapping condition.

ความเร็วรอบจะข้นึ อยู่กับวัสดุที่ใช้ในการต๊าป

• Special left hand spiral flute design enables the smooth chip ejection even in high speed tapping area.
• AU+SL ensures the smooth chip ejection in the wide range of work materials from steels to stainless steels.
• Change of marking position from shank into square portion: Laser marking can roughen the shank surface. In order to keep high accuracy of shank circularity and diameter, marking has been transferred from shank to square portion.
• AU+SL adopts a special flute design enabling coating features to show their best efficiency, and is applicable to the wide range of work materials. AU+SL also runs well even in water soluble cutting oil.
